the scariest music project ever

Music is more than just compiled noise... It is a thing that can be taken as an art or taken like a joke. No matter how crazy a specific genre is, it's all taken from some kind of effort.

King Of The Beats can be taken as just noise but the samples make up for the insanity that is that album. I like that charm of electronic groups like the Cycheouts. They all have some form of rhythm to their insanity. I remember talking about gabber and  breakcore and mentioning these genres that destroyed my brain upon hearing them. 

Before I talk about this album, I have to talk about speedcore. Speedcore is gabber on crack. Here's an example of what Speedcore is like... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Why didn't I talk about this on my article? Sheesh...

The Sharpnel Sound label had a fair share of speedcore on their albums too... Anyway, let's move on to the real deal. The scariest of scary. THE MEAT OF THE STEAK.

This isn't an article on Everywhere at the end of time. Why? That album ain't really scary to me. Besides, this is more of a horror movie if anything else. So lately (in this article), I've been talking about Speedcore... Now, how about I talk about  HYPER RICH?

HYPER RICH was a Japanese record label (in the same but different spotlight as Cycheouts.) that started in the 90s to the 2000s making compilation albums and some solo work. Among the many talents featured  in these albums, one artist stood out of the bunch: SONIC DRAGOLO.

SONIC DRAGOLO is one of the artists that was featured in most of the compilations and eventually got some of his own solo releases. I'm going to be talking about the personification of horror movies itself:

DON'T YOU DARE BE FOOLED BY THAT COVER IT'S FULL OF LIES AND YOU KNOW IT. If you don't know, SONIC DRAGOLO's style of music is just plain noise and drums stuck in the flinger filter 24/7. The title track is insane too. The my suweet hunny bunnyyyyyy is so eerie and so harmonious that- well, it takes something so child-like and innocent and turns it into the monster you didn't know you were afraid of. Listening to this album really got my fight-or-flight system triggered. The album reminds me of a FNAF jumpscare: Just sudden adrenaline which will end soon...

So My Sweet Honey Bunny by SONIC DRAGOLO is the scariest album ever...

Or is it? If there's one thing I have to say, it has to be that reality will always be more scarier and unnerving than fiction would EVER be. Do you think a silly speedcore album would be the scariest album ever? OF FREAKING COURSE NOT! 

I was gonna talk about some legitimately disturbing stuff but it's much better if I were to end this on an unfinished note. Sorry, but I'm not gonna talk about this illegal stuff.

albums lost to the dunes of time

Oh boy, Right now I'm dealing with some things right now and I'm gonna declare another hiatus-thing. I'll start posting around early November and I'll come back at December where (hopefully) I'll post weekly. Anyway, onto the review thingy:

THE DOPEMAN SHOW is a label showcase of what Otherman records has to offer. The art is cute. I like it. The album cover feels like what I'm gonna listen to. The album is fine itself. I like the minimalism of some the songs and I like how some of the songs are like their own little worlds. Why am I talking about this album?

The album is not on youtube.

Discogs is a cool website for the documentation of music albums. The problem is when I find an album I really want to hear that isn't even accessible on the internet.

Some are accessed through a paywall.

Some are just lost media.

Speaking of lost media, there's this label called XROGER that is a label dedicated to hardcore and Experimental music. 

I really like this label's music. It's just gabber with personality. I like it. The label is also pretty ahead of their time with the album covers. This cover was made in 1998 and the loli in this cover looks like something you'd see in a 2014 era anime.

 Japanese nerdcore is seriously something... doujin circles are also made for music. I already have been talking about IOSYS which is a label dedicated to Touhou music and hardcore. Can't believe the people who provide the album covers and the information about each of them don't post any of the music online. This stuff is so rare too. If you want to experience these albums you must've had to go to a store in japan in 1998, know what album you're getting into, and kept that album in good condition. Pretty ironic that a web-based music label doesn't have much of their work on the internet. The only stuff I could find was a mix that FOXYUN(an artist from the label) did on mixcloud. 

But that is all just D-tier obscurity...

Doujin circles are groups that make music independently and like everything, they all have time limits... 

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Noki-room!

Noki-room was a doujin circle that started around the early 2000s and disbanded around 2002-ish. How do I know? Just using the wayback machine. The thing is that the links got scarce and led me to nothing. So I did what any normal person does and did a google search. Here's what it got me:

Oh, I'm guessing this Starfleet is a distributor-type thing? This just led me to nothing. I guess that was the end of my trip. This is seriously lost media. Man, I hate that lost media can be incredibly specific...

Overall kids, ARCHIVE YOUR MEDIA OR ELSE PEOPLE WOULDN'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH HARD AND TEDIOUS SEARCHES TO FIND A TRASH COPY OF A DRAGONBALL Z DUB.
